UGC NET 2024: The Press Information Bureau (PIB) issued a press release announcing the cancellation of the UGC NET 2024 exam, which took place on June 18, 2024, across two shifts for 83 subjects. This decision came after the University Grants Commission (UGC) received reports from the National Cyber Crime Threat Analytics Unit of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, suggesting potential compromises to the exam’s integrity.
To uphold the utmost transparency and fairness in the examination process, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has decided to cancel the UGC-NET June 2024 exam. A new exam will be scheduled, and details will be provided separately. Additionally, the case has been referred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (C.B.I.) for a thorough probe.
